Take a trip to the library to meet story book friends, dance around the grocery store with Tina and her tap shoes, float to the park in a hot air balloon or bounce around the forest with a jolly bear name Freddy Fuzzywizz. Roll down the highway in an eighteen wheel truck or roll around the block in your stroller then accompany a teddy bear on a trip from a factory to your birthday party. There are plenty of adventures right at home too. Swing on a swing, play in the mud or learn to brush your teeth with a good natured tiger. These traveling songs will keep you and your child in motion whether you're in the car or in the living room. These songs celebrate the young child reaching out into the world - doing things, going places, exploring, discovering, creating and growing.

1. We're On Our Way

We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
We're on our way, on our way
Growing more and more each day
We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
Life's a journey to be sure
And we're on our way!

Making friends and playing games together
Reading books and drawing pictures too
Taking trips, exploring different places
Each day we discover something new

And we use the magic of imagination
To build enchanted castles in the sky
We make believe we're tigers in the jungle
Or astronauts above the stars so high

We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
We're on our way, on our way
Growing more and more each day
We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
Life's a journey to be sure
And we're on our way!

2. At The Library

Let's take a trip to the library
A place with rows of books where we
Can find a special section,
A colorful collection,
Of books for special people who are young at heart

Just choose a few that you like best
Take them to the check out desk
Show your card and sign you name
You'll be oh so glad you came
The wondrous world of words is just about to start

You can find out something about anything you like
pick-up sticks, magic tricks, or how to fix your bike
Riddles, jokes, and roller skates,
Horses, dolls, and birthday cakes
It's all there at the library

You can read of sailing on a ship to distant shores
Of prehistoric fossils and giant dinosaurs
You can learn to draw cartoons
Make a dog with long balloons
It's all there at the library

A puppet's nose grows longer whenever he tells lies
Does anybody know?...Pinocchio!

Hanging on a blue balloon, a small bear looks for honey
Can you tell me who...Winnie the Pooh!

A wise and gentle spider saves a friendly pig
You know her name I bet...Charlotte!

She lived deep in the forest with the seven dwarfs
Can you get it right?...Snow White!

No one helped her plant the wheat or bake a loaf of bread
Can you guess again?...The Little Red Hen!

Goldilocks came in their house and tasted all their porridge
Then sat in their chairs...The Three Bears!

You can find them all at the library!
Come on everybody now let's

Let's take a trip to the library
A place with rows of books where we
Can find a special section,
A colorful collection,
Of books for special people who are young at heart

Just choose a few that you like best
Take them to the check out desk
Show your card and sign you name
You'll be oh so glad you came
The wondrous world of words is just about to start

And it's all right there at the library!

3. Rolling

Baby has a stroller with four round wheels
It rolls down the sidewalk and up the hills
The stroller takes baby everywhere
It's a wonderful fanciful rolling chair

Chorus:
Rolling, rolling, wheels go rolling
'Round and 'round and 'round
Rolling, rolling, rolling 'round
Rolling, rolling, rolling

Brother has a trike to pedal with his feet
He rides on the sidewalk but not the street
When daddy takes baby for a stroller ride
Brother rides his tricycle right beside

Repeat Chorus

The family car has room inside
For everyone to come and ride
Mommy buckles up the seat belts tight
Then the car goes rolling through the night

Repeat Chorus

4. Mrs. McFritter

Mrs. McFritter is our baby sitter
She sails through the sky with the moon
And if that sounds strange, please let me explain
She flies in a hot air balloon

She makes funny faces and takes us fun places
A carnival, playground or zoo
We sail through the air and fly anywhere
Every wish we imagine comes true

Singing yodel laydel la, never you fear
Mrs. McFritter is here

Her pockets are packed with puzzles and snacks
Ribbons and bright colored beads
Pencils and paste, paper and paints,
And books full of stories to read

She carries harmonicas in her handbag
One for each child to play
She strums a guitar as we swing through the stars
Merrily tooting away

Singing yodel laydel la, never you fear
Mrs. McFritter is here

She makes up games that have funny names
Like huke hockey, kookball or schmicks
We play them with rings, cartons and strings
Scraps of old cardboard and sticks

Then she lets us play with great wads of clay,
Small tools and spools of twine
We make horses and planes, dollies and trains
Or sculptures with dazzling designs

Singing yodel laydel la, never you fear
Mrs. McFritter is here

When mommy comes home we give her a hug
And tell her the fun things we did
She hardly believes what goes on when she leaves
It makes her wish she were a kid

Then Mrs. McFritter, our baby sitter
Hops back in here hot ail balloon
She sings with a smile, "I'll be back in a while"
Then goes swinging back up with the moon

Singing yodel laydel la remember my tune
I will return again soon
Singing yodel laydel la remember my tune
I will return again soon

5. Teddy Took A Train Ride

Teddy took a train ride packed in a box
He was made in a factory far far away
Clickity clack rollin' down the track
To get to my party on my birthday

But he wasn't mine yet, no, no, no
He had miles of oceans and mountains to go, so

Teddy took a plane ride packed in a box
With a roar and a whoosh he was on his way
Flying so high in the bright blue sky
To get to my party on my birthday

But he wasn't mine yet, no, no, no
He had miles of highway and roads to go, so

Teddy took a truck ride packed in a box
Headin' for the store and the toy display
Ridin' each mile with a peaceful smile
To get to my party on my birthday

But he wasn't mine yet, no, no, no
He still had a little bit further to go, so

Teddy took a car ride packed in a box
He was bought by my grandma at the store one day
'Ridin' in back so brightly wrapped
To get to my party on my birthday

Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday dear me
My Teddy's come home to play

6. Tiger With A Toothbrush

There's a tiger with a toothbrush standing next to me
He has a brush like mine but it's three times a big
I squeeze him extra paste because he likes the taste
Then we brush our teeth together as we dance a jig

Tiger shakes his stripes and swings his slender tail
And bounces to the rhythm as he purrs and hums
He pats his furry paws and taps his curving claws
Then gives a happy "grrr" as he cleans his gums

That rascal keeps me laughing,
singing as we're cleaning, ho, ho, ho, ho
I love to brush my teeth and gums
Whenever my friend Tiger comes

Tiger makes me giggle as he twists and turns his lips
And shifts his chin to brush in every little place
Front, back, top, side, everywhere the plaque hides
He puffs his cheeks and brushes with a funny face

When it's time to brush my teeth
I skip up to the sink
My parents stare in disbelief
They don't know what to think
They used to nudge and nag me,
"Brush your teeth!"
I hollered No!
Now they can't believe how cheerfully I go

That rascal keeps me laughing,
singing as we're cleaning, ho, ho, ho, ho
I love to brush my teeth and gums
Whenever my friend Tiger comes

When mom or dad peek in they never see my friend
They think I'm all alone just playing make-believe
'Cause when adults are near, my tiger disappears
But he comes back to brush when all the grown-ups leave
Yes, he comes back to brush when all the grown-ups leave

7. Truck Driver's Song

While you're sleeping safe in bed
I'll be roarin' on ahead
From the Colorado snows
To where the Mississippi flows
To bring the clothes you wear
And the food your family shares
I drive wherever something needs to go

Hear me rollin' rollin'
down the highway at night
Thirty tons of rumblin' steel
movin' by on eighteen wheels
Hear me rollin' rollin'
down the highway at night
I'll be rollin in the early mornin' light

When I drive a heavy load
down some steep and winding road
I hit the pedal prayin'
that the air brakes slow me down
Through the danger and the dust
I'll deliver what I must
Someday I might come
drivin' through your town

Hear me rollin' rollin'
down the highway at night
Thirty tons of rumblin' steel
movin' by on eighteen wheels
Hear me rollin' rollin'
down the highway at night
I'll be rollin in the early mornin' light

I left Idaho just an hour ago
Got to make it down to Denver by tomorrow
I'll fill up on the way when I stop at Jean's Cafe
Then drive on to race the breaking light of day

Hear me rollin' rollin'
down the highway at night
Thirty tons of rumblin' steel
movin' by on eighteen wheels
Hear me rollin' rollin'
down the highway at night
I'll be rollin in the early mornin' light
I'll be rollin in the early mornin' light

8. Things We Like To Do

When you're bored and don't know what to do
Take a tip from us and listen to:

The things we like to do
The games we like to play
The things we like to do
To brighten up the day

A lively game of tag is always fun to play
We chase or run around to get away
And if someone will count and promise not to peek
We can play some good old hide and seek

Empty cartons make a set of bowling pins
We roll a ball and knock 'em down to win
On rainy days we play a game of crazy eights
Or make a spooky mask with paper plates

The things we like to do
The games we like to play
The things we like to do
To brighten up the day

We take a box of baggy pants and worn out shoes
And funny hats that mommy lets us use
We prance around in gowns that grandma used to wear
And play pretend together as we share

The things we like to do
The games we like to play
The things we like to do
To brighten up the day

9. Tina Took Her Tap Shoes

Tip, tap, tip, tap, Tina took her tap shoes
Tapped on the tile floor, down at the grocery store
Tip, tap, tip, tap, Tina took her tap shoes
Down to the grocery store

Mr. Green the manager
Furrowed his brow and spun around
Scratched his head, frowned and said
"What's that funny clicking sound?"

Tip, tap, tip, tap, Tina took her tap shoes
Tapped on the tile floor, down at the grocery store
Tip, tap, tip tap, Tina took her tap shoes
Down to the grocery store

"This can't go on," growled Mr. Green
"This child is scuffin' up the aisles"
But Tina brightened up his mood
With bouncing curls and gleeful smiles
And Mr. Green was mesmerized
By the sparkle in her eyes
As he recalled his younger days
When he used to dance that way . . . and he went
Tip, tap, tip, tap, with Tina and her tap shoes
Down to the grocery store

They did the shuffle off to Buffalo
passin' by the muffin dough
A triple time step with a break
sailin' by the sirloin steak
Heel drops, toe drops,
right beside the gum drops
Riff four, soft shoe,
'round the cheese and tofu
They did some digs and running flaps
past the figs and ginger snaps
A Maxiford with two chugs
stopping by the water jugs
They broke into a shim sham
right beside the canned yams
Then followed with a walking six
past the peas and carrot sticks
Tip, tap, tip, tap, with Tina and her tap shoes
Down to the grocery -
no stoppin', no sir-ee
down to the grocery store

10. Swinging

Leaning back, leaning forward
Higher the swing goes
Laughing when I feel that strange
Tingle in my toes

With the sun on my back and the breeze in my hair
I'm sailing suspended in air
Gliding along, whistling a song, never a worry or care
Wouldn't you like to be swinging away with me

Swinging, swinging
High up to the sky
Swinging, swinging
Watching the world whizzing by as I fly

Saying "hi" and "goodbye" then "hello" once again
Always coming right back where I've been
Gazing at clouds then down at the ground
Falling a soaring again
Wouldn't you like to be swinging away with me

Swinging, swinging
High up to the sky
Swinging, swinging
Watching the world whizzing by as I fly
Wouldn't you like to be
Swinging away, swinging away with me

11. Party Time In The Mud

Put some old shorts on, drag around the hose
Soon the muck is oozing in between your toes
Oooh-eee it's party time in the mud!

Pat it with your hands, stir it all around
Pick it up and watch it slowly plop back down
Oooh-eee it's party time in the mud!

We can cook a pie or bake a cake
Build a dam or make a lake
Imagination makes it all come true
It's something anyone can do

Just grab yourself a spoon, an extra pot or pan
A plastic bucket if your mommy says you can
Oooh-eee it's party time in the mud!

We can cook a pie or bake a cake
Build a dam or make a lake
Imagination makes it all come true
It's something anyone can do
Just lift the hose up high when it's time to go
Jump about and rinse yourself from head to toe
Oooh-eee it's party time in the mud!

13. Freddy Fuzzywizz

Freddy Fuzzywizz is a funny little bear
Always has a smile and a song to share
When a fight breaks out in the woods somewhere
The struggle ends when they hear that bear
'Cause they can't help laughin' and lovin' his song
Gettin' together and singin' along

With a zing, zang, zee, zing, zang, zee
And a ho, ha, hee, ho, ha, hee
Wugga-bugga-hug, wugga-bugga-hug
Squigga-wigga-squeeze, squigga-wigga-squeeze
With a nee, naa, noo, nee, naa, noo
And a hee, haw, hay, hee, haw, hay
Swing-a-ling-a-smile, swing-a-ling-a-smile
Then giggle your troubles away
Yes, look at each other while singin' together
And giggle your troubles away

Birds and squirrels fightin' in a tree
Screechin', screamin', fightin in a tree
The squirrels squeak, "Scat! This is our sycamore!"
The birds squawk, "no! We were here before!"
Then along comes Freddy, bouncin' up and down
Singin' silly words; makin' faces like a clown
And they can't help laughin' and lovin' his song
Sharin' that tree and singin' along

With a zing, zang, zee, zing, zang, zee
And a ho, ha, hee, ho, ha, hee
Wugga-bugga-hug, wugga-bugga-hug
Squigga-wigga-squeeze, squigga-wigga-squeeze
With a nee, naa, noo, nee, naa, noo
And a hee, haw, hay, hee, haw, hay
Swing-a-ling-a-smile, swing-a-ling-a-smile
Then giggle your troubles away
Yes, look at each other while singin' together
And giggle your troubles away
Two cats tussle with a ball of twine
Each one howlin' "It's mine, It's mine!"
The fur keeps flyin' but they won't give in
They tug and pull, neither one can win
Then along comes Freddy, bouncin' up and down
Singin' silly words; makin' faces like a clown
And they can't help laughin' and lovin' his song
Sharin' that tree and singin' along

With a zing, zang, zee, zing, zang, zee
And a ho, ha, hee, ho, ha, hee
Wugga-bugga-hug, wugga-bugga-hug
Squigga-wigga-squeeze, squigga-wigga-squeeze
With a nee, naa, noo, nee, naa, noo
And a hee, haw, hay, hee, haw, hay
Swing-a-ling-a-smile, swing-a-ling-a-smile
Then giggle your troubles away
Yes, look at each other while singin' together
And giggle your troubles away
With Freddy Fuzzywizz that funny little friendly bear
